Valencia CF show support for fight against cancer
Valencia CF, headed by president Anil Murthy, showed the club's support for the investigation and treatment of cancer at what has become a yearly event. At their annual fundraiser this week, the Asociación Española Contra el Cáncer (Spanish Association Against Cancer) set up a donation table at Mestalla alongside the VIP box, receiving the visit of many generous Valencians.
"I think that today is a day in which to remind everybody that -before Covid-19, during Covid-19 and after Covid-19- there are social causes that we can't stop supporting. Today we are here show that this club, as a very important civic organisation here, are going to keep supporting important social causes," Mr. Murthy told VCF Media at the event on Thursday.

Manning the table were Tomás Trénor, president of the Asociación Española contra el Cáncer in Valencia, Mr. Murthy, VCF Foundation patron José Luis Zaragosí, and VCF Foundation director Pablo Mantilla.
On behalf of the club, Valencia CF social ambassadors Ricardo Arias, Miguel Ángel Bossio and Miguel Tendillo also attended, as did VCF Footballers Association president Fernando Giner.
Medical professionals such as Dr. Camps of the Valencia General Hospital oncology department, Dr. Guillem of the IVO Foundation, Dr. Cervantes of Incliva at the Valencia Hospital Clinic, and financial director Vicente de Juan Martín.
